Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this webpage and giving me the opportunity to introduce myself and express my commitment to you, my brothers and sisters in-arms, in working with you to meet ALL your real estate needs.
Like many veterans, my family has deep roots in serving in the armed forces. Both my mother and father honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, meeting each other while stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, where they married and where I was born. My mother served six years and my father thirteen years. Serving my country was in my blood.
Marrying my wife, Hayley, only strengthened my family ties to the military. My father-in-law proudly served thirty-two years before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 as a U.S. Army Chinook pilot. My brother-in-law is currently paralleling his father’s career by serving as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 and Blackhawk pilot.
As for me, I enlisted in 2009, at the age of seventeen into the 280th Special Operations Communications Squadron, Alabama Air National Guard. I have been very fortunate to spend over 10 years with the 280th SOCS as a Radio Frequency Transmissions Technician. The men and women of this unit have become family to me. Joining this amazing group and the Air National Guard put me on a path that inevitably led to Real Estate.
Like most who join any branch of the military, often during or right after high school, I joined for a popular VA assistance program, the G.I. Bill. After completing my Air Force Basic Training and Technical School, I returned to the 280th as a traditional Guardsman and begin my pursuit of my bachelor’s degree at Troy University. While attending Troy University, I participated in multiple Joint Operations Exercises, Humanitarian/Relief Missions inside the United States, and one deployment to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom (2012).
In May 2015 I graduated alongside my then fiancé/college sweetheart, Hayley, with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations. Hayley and I married seven days later and moved directly to Tallahassee.
A year later, Hayley and I bought our first home in Crawfordville FL, south of Tallahassee. I used a VA loan and worked with a national VA lender and a Realtor they referred us to. We learned firsthand the things that make a difference in the lenders and the Realtor’s role in a Veteran’s purchase. I wanted something better in terms of service for my fellow veterans and I decided at that point to commit myself to building the best team available for my brothers and sisters in arms.
Shortly after moving, I took a job overseas in Saudi Arabia as a Military Contractor for the U.S. Army. For the next twenty-seven months Hayley and I were apart. We quickly discovered that working overseas would not be my long-term career path. Buying and owning real estate investment properties had always been a goal of ours. While in Saudi Arabia, I began the classes necessary to obtain my Florida Real Estate License, becoming a full time Realtor, and achieving my goal to help my fellow veterans. Utilizing a VA Home Loan is a powerful program for a veteran. VA’s program comes with a unique set of guidelines and regulations and not all lenders and Realtors understand this.
In October of 2018, I began researching brokerages and making the decision as to what Broker and Brokerage was the best fit for me in a career that I intend to last a lifetime. I met Sarah Eden, the Owner and Broker of Eden & Company at an open house. It was obvious from the moment she greeted us that she was passionate about her clients, her community and her business. Having been in the Top 1% for individual production for the Tallahassee Board of Realtors since 2002, Sarah has created a firm committed to client satisfaction and relationships that last past closing, and has serviced our Veteran community, Law Enforcement and Local Health Care in Relocations for over 15 years. I knew Eden & Company was the real estate home for me. Sarah understands VA loans, financing and supports the veteran community. She even shows my buyer’s homes when I am on Guard Duty.
As a veteran, I am honored for the opportunity to bring you my brothers and sisters-in-arms, the level of service and knowledge of the real estate transaction that you deserve when you decide to purchase a home and make use of this program that you have earned.
Whether it is your first time using your VA loan or the 100th time, my commitment to you is the same. I will be there every step of the way to oversee and guide you. From finding the right home, negotiating the best offer, scheduling inspections, aiding in your due diligence, all the way to handing keys to you at closing, my goal is to stand tall next to you as you leave the closing, knowing you have everything you need to be happy in your new home and successful in home ownership.
As a veteran you had our backs now our team has yours. We have incentives that we offer to thank you for your service. I look forward to sharing these with you.
I promise to handle your transaction with integrity and honor, and to serve you and your family with respect in the same way you served our nation. I will do this while conducting myself with the professionalism and mentality of excellence that allows me to be proud that I helped a Hometown Hero get the home he or she deserves!
